Rottnest Island is a popular tourist destination located off the coast of Western Australia, about 19 kilometres from Perth. The island is world-renowned for its stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, diverse marine life, and charming Quokkas.

Getting to Rottnest Island

The island is accessible from Perth by ferry or private boat, with ferry services departing from Fremantle, Hillarys Boat Harbour, and Perth City. The journey takes between 25 to 90 minutes depending on the departure location.

  • Beach hopping: With 63 stunning beaches and 20 bays on Rottnest Island, you'll be spoilt for choice. Some popular beaches include The Basin, Pinky Beach, and Geordie Bay.
